Whether it’s a casual evening with friends or a formal gathering, a bottle of Basil Hayden’s always brings something more to the table. To show consumers how sharing the uniquely spicy bourbon makes even the most familiar occasion more interesting, we created Basil Hayden’s Five Star Friendsgiving, a twist on the traditional Thanksgiving celebration. We tapped chefs in markets known for anything but the typical turkey meal—New York, Chicago, and Austin— to create dinner and drink menus infused with the culture of a variety of cuisines, and invited guests in all three cities for an evening of unexpected flavor with newfound friends. We designed an identity system for the event, including a centerpiece that reimagined the traditional Thanksgiving cornucopia as an open whiskey barrel.
